Brazil, Finland and Air NZ

Te Mara, in conjunction with Auntsfield (Marlborough), were the first NZ wines to be released in Rio, Brazil.
We launched to a range of local media reporters and specialist wine writers, with invitations to attend in-shop tastings and comparisons with Latin American wines. The wines were received well, with the Brazilians favouring our excellent red wines, though showing an interest in learning more about the whites.
Shop staff were trained in NZ wines, teaching them to identify the key features of NZ wine.
- Finland
Successfully tendering for Alko has been an excellent move, with good volumes of Pinot Gris being sold in Finland. 2010 Pinot Gris is now on sale throughout Finland and doing very well.
- Air New Zealand
Having won the tender to supply Air New Zealand, Te Mara Pinot Noir 2009 is now available in Business Premium class, with a description of this wine in the wine guide on flights.
